Ilona personally hand-blended each batch of Budapest Cocktail as a signature facial treatment at her skincare institutes nationwide. The signature red, white and gold packaging was resurrected for this classic treatment and trademarked girl-and-fountain design which adorned every box and advertisement, representing the healing thermal waters from her native Hungary. The quote, "To achieve a glorious skin..." is verbatim from the 1985 Harper's Bazaar article featuring the signature treatment.

    METHOD

    The Ilona gold face mask is a bougie treat that makes me feel fancy. It is a two piece set that in my opinion is one of the best designs for a face mask because I can contour it around my face and make contact with every inch of skin. Plus there are small slices around the edges that really allow me to form it tightly. I love that feature, and I wish all masks had it.
    The serum itself is very moisturizing and silky. I left it on for the recommended 20 minutes, and my skin was glowing afterwards. The serum absorbed into my skin and I did not add any other products to see how it held up on its own. In the morning, my skin was clear and hydrated. I have sensitive skin and did not personally experience any irritation.
    Reviewing ILONA Budapest Cocktail Gold Foil Peel Off Mask | I wanted to try this brand because this company is local to me, and they have a wonderful reputation. It is my understanding, this used to be one of their signature facial treatments. They have been around for many years and have always been highly praised for their skin and beauty products. They are pricey, but their products are worth it.
    This mask does not disappoint. I love that I only need to use it once a week. I also love how it makes my skin feel soft, not only while I am wearing it, but for days afterward. The gold foil on the outside is just a gimmick. The real prize is the gel that is infused on the other side of the mask. It smells wonderful, very faint, does not drip all over the place and comes in two pieces, an upper face, and a lower face section, for a better fit. It also came with a free sample of one of their other products! I highly recommend.
    I love everything about these. I even like the fact this comes in two pieces…I usually have an issue with face masks staying flat and bubbling- this seemed to solve that problem. You can not walk around while on your face as they will slip off but that is no problem I laid down while wearing this. I will say I truly felt a difference afterwards. My face felt very soft and hydrated. I have very dry skin and normally do not see that much if a difference with face masks so I am impressed with these.
