Method

Warm Absolute Clean between hands and gently massage over dry or damp face and throat. Rinse skin thoroughly or remove with damp cleansing cloth.

This luxurious face cleaner is so amazing!
To describe it, it works like a combination of lotion and cleaner. It is so silky smooth on your face and leaves your face feeling clean and hydrated. It works more like a lotion on your face. I love this face cleaner!

The ILONA Absolute Clean Hydrating Facial Cleanser Lotion exceeded my expectations. Skeptical about lotion cleansers, I have found in the past that they often leave my skin feeling like I have simply applied and wiped off lotion. However, this one surprised me. While initially, it felt similar, rinsing it off left my face genuinely feeling clean. The cleanser has a light, fresh scent and has proven gentle on my skin. After just a week of nightly use, I have noticed my skin feeling moisturized, and some fine lines appear less noticeable. A promising addition to my skincare routine!
Before ILONA, I had never tried anything that was marketed as a lotion cleanser, or cleansing lotion. I was intrigued. I feel like all of my skin is perpetually dry (especially in the winter, ugh!) and that this product might just be designed for me.
This is one of those times where it is obvious that a company goes to great lengths to protect their fragile product. ILONA comes in a thick acrylic pump bottle, but it was packaged as if it were a crystal chandelier. I know that discussing packaging is discouraged, but this was something remarkable and it should be recognized. This company cares.
Now, about this soft, lotiony cleanser: The scent is mild, lovely, and mostly innocuous. It feels silky and gentle and soft. It reminds me of co-washing my hair (it is where you wash with conditioner; look it up if you have a lot of hair, it is an amazingly beneficial thing to do). I also use it to wash my hands when they start to feel unbearably dry and I just do not want to use regular hand soap.
I was a little confused by what this ILONA Absolute Clean Hydrating Facial Cleanser Lotion was at first. Is it a cleanser? Is it a lotion? Haha but, I LOVE trying new skincare products out and had to give it a try and am so happy I did!!
I have fairly sensitive skin and have had no adverse reactions. This does have a mild scent to it, so if you are sensitive to fragrances, make sure to do some spot tests prior!
So this is a cleanser, but had the consistency of a lightweight lotion. It does not lather well, but it does not have to. It works incredibly well! I do not wear much makeup (no eye makeup), but it easily removes my makeup while still cleansing my skin. AND my skin feels smooth and nice afterwards, not dried out at all! I still use a moisturizer after (especially with how dry my skin has been in the cold weather), but some people who do not have dry skin might be able to get away with using this as a cleanser and lotion combined!

This is a nice hydrating facial cleanser lotion. It has a light refreshing scent. It is a bit thick like hair conditioner but applying it to your face is easy. It is easy to spread around and will help moisturize your skin. It lathers well and easily washes away. It broke down all the makeup while being so gentle that if any got into your eyes, there would be no irritation. Instead having a separate makeup remover and then moisturizing, this does a good job at doing both. It is especially good to use during those dry winter months. If you would like to consolidate and make your routine a little quicker, using this hydrating facial cleanser lotion will be effective.
